TRUE Palm Oil Production Process
Authentic palm oil is indigenous to Africa, it is not reproduced or replanted.
The local farmers wait for mother nature every 3 to 6 months before harvesting the palm fruit which is then processed using traditional methods to produce palm oil.
This process has existed for thousands of years and is the reason why its taste is unique and so different from palm oil produced in other parts of the world.
Main steps in the production of palm oil:
- Bunch reception
- Threshing (removal of fruit from the bunches)
- Sterilisation of bunches
- Digestion of the fruit
- Pressing (extracting the palm oil)
- Clarification and drying of oil
- Oil storage
